Marshall Simien is a son of Lake Charles who has been a dedicated public servant with a strong legacy of community involvement. With his college degree in Government and extensive experience in government, Marshall has the expertise to identify solutions, collaborate with others to implement those solutions, and deliver results to our entire community.
Economic Development
Strengthen and grow our local economy by working closely with our private business sector to foster entrepreneurship and attract new opportunities for investment to grow our City. Community Safety
Marshall is dedicated to addressing the pressing issue of public safety, including reducing crime rates both specifically and overall, working closely with our first responders who provide police and fire protection as well as our city workers, and focusing on rewarding them with true living wages to support our families and the resources necessary to build a safer city and enhance public services.

Marshall is devoted to his vision to build a Stronger Lake Charles that will realize its true potential as a generational powerhouse by attracting new revenue through the activation of the I-10 and I-210 corridors, expanding major corridors throughout growing areas of our City, revitalize the MLK/Highway 171 and Highway 14 corridors with the focus of encouraging sustainable growth, enhancing our City and building sufficient reserves for disaster and other recovery to protect our quality of life.

Marshall will work to ensure that talent throughout our community has the place and opportunity to want to stay home, and new talent to locate to Lake Charles, to meaningfully participate and work together collaboratively in ways that bring everyone to the table to build a city- focused on family values, jobs, quality housing, home ownership, fun and exciting entertainment for everyone of all ages.
