Marshall Simien, Candidate for Mayor
As a dedicated public servant with years of experience, I am focused on addressing the needs of our city and bringing about meaningful progress. My passion for community engagement and transparent leadership sets me apart, and I am determined to create a better future for Lake Charles.

Dr. Paula Simien, Wife of Marshall
Married 32 Years
Mother of Marshall III, August, and Grace
My husband's motivation and determination to fight adversity and advocate for what he sees is right has always been something I admired about him since the first day we met. His intelligence, compassion, and persistence is exactly what this city needs, and I will always stand beside him knowing he is the right candidate to lead the city of Lake Charles.
Marshall Simien III,
Son of Marshall
Computer Engineer at Nucor Steel in Indianapolis, IN
My dad is an ideal candidate for mayor because he has a proven and validated track record of effective leadership and community involvement. Not only does he genuinely care about our city, but his memberships within his public service positions have equipped him with the skills to address and provide lasting solutions for our community. He is committed to the residents of Lake Charles and has a voice to drive positive progress within our city.

August Simien
Son of Marshall
Third Year Law Student at Tulane Law School
Lake Charles deserves a mayor who can lead the city to increased economic development, more entertainment for residents and visitors, improved infrastructure, and overall better quality of life. I have witnessed my father's admirable dedication to this wonderful city throughout my entire life, and his passion, work ethic, and vision for Lake Charles is second to none. Not only is he a great father and a God-fearing man of integrity, but his knowledge of government combined with his years of experience and understanding of business and law make him an ideal candidate for the future of this city.

Grace Simien
Daughter of Marshall
Freshman at Texas A&M University
My father is the ideal candidate for mayor due to his exceptional credentials and visionary outlook, which have the potential to transform Lake Charles into its best version. Having grown up in Lake Charles, he has developed a deep attachment to the city and is committed to furthering its development for the benefit of the entire community. He is dedicated, open-minded, and personable, with an ability to relate to a diverse range of individuals. I believe a mayor should possess these qualities and prioritize the needs of the citizens above personal interests. With Marshall Simien, Jr. as mayor, Lake Charles will not only be a welcoming place for families but also a vibrant city that offers something for all age groups. He is not only intelligent, but everything he does is with purpose. He is intentional in his actions and would make an outstanding mayor!
